Ufe immediately got to work and revised the tesc proposal to reduce class size and proposed an alternative based on the Furlough period, up to a 20% reduction in compensation. Under the leadership of Shawn Hazboun, President of UFE, UFE organized two faculty forums, one for UFE members and the other for all faculties coordinated with the Agenda Committee. UFE presented the financial situation of TESC and the two ideas. The faculty added invaluable ideas and criticisms. The UFE and TESC negotiating teams abandoned both ideas and developed a new one, described above.
